The Japanese based automaker Honda has recently announced its plans to introduce the 2014 Odyssey later on this month, during the 2013 New York Auto Show.
The Honda Odyssey is one of the most popular minivans currently on sale in the United States but now the model is getting ready to become even more popular, with an updated version. According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Honda Odyssey, which is basically a facelifted version, will be officially presented to the public during the 2013 New York Auto Show, later on this month.
“Honda will reveal details of the refreshed 2014 Odyssey, including some innovative new features, at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS). The 2014 Odyssey further strengthens the Honda minivan’s position as the segment’s most coveted family-friendly vehicle, and adds to its status as the strongest overall ownership value in its class”, as Honda says in its official press release.
The 2014 Honda Odyssey will be more “family-friendly” and the facelifted variant is promising more “innovative new feature”. The vehicle is rumored to come with a new 3.6 liter V6 engine, which is good for 278 BHP (207 kW) and 252 lb-ft of torque (341 Nm), mated to a standard six-speed automatic transmission. Goodies like the Lane Departure Warning system or the adaptive cruise control are also expected. Additional details on the 2014 Honda Odyssey will be announced on the 27th of March, once the 2013 New York Auto Show will officially open its gates.
