The 2014 Honda Odyssey has been recently awarded with the Top Safety Pick Plus by the IIHS, after it has been crash tested.
One of the safest minivans available for order in the United States is the 2014 Honda Odyssey. The MPV has been recently awarded with the Top Safety Pick Plus by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The agency said that Honda called and asked the safety specialists to put the Odyssey through the full barrage of tests.
“Safety is high on the list for parents when it comes to shopping for a family vehicle. Consumers look for models with the highest safety ratings. Honda is ahead of many of its competitors in building state-of-the-art crashworthiness into its vehicles”, said Adrian Lund, the Institute President.
The 2014 Honda Odyssey has been introduced as a 2014 model, but the vehicle has no major styling changes. Even so, the minivan has been fitted with high-strength steel in the front door frames, floor pan and front wells, offering a more rigid occupant compartment. The Honda and the Acura brands have managed to win the Top Safety Pick+ awards with 20 of their current models.
