The brand new Hyundai i10 is now getting ready to storm the United Kingdom market as the model will go on sale over there starting from January 2014. The small vehicle’s new generation is basically a European car which has been designed at the Hyundai technical center in Russelsheim, Germany, and it has been produced in Izmit, Turkey. The model stands at 3,665 mm in length, 1,660 mm in width and 1,500 mm in height, being 80 mm longer, 65 mm wider and 50 mm lower than the car it’s replacing.
As for the engine lineup, there are two units available, a 1.0 liter three-cylinder, with 65 HP at 5,500 rpm and 69 lb-ft of torque, available at 3,500 rpm. This is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and the 0 to 62 mph sprint takes 14.9 seconds while the top speed stands at 95 mph. There is also a 1.2 liter unit, with 85 HP at 6,000 rpm and 89 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm, equipped with a manual transmission which is allowing it to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 12.3 seconds and to reach a top speed of 106 mph.
