Hyundai has updated the Tucson for the 2014 model year by offering it some styling tweaks and some new engines.
Americans looking for a small SUV will get the chance to order the updated 2014 Hyundai Tucson soon, which is getting ready to storm dealerships across the country. According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Hyundai Tucson has gained LED infused headlights, LED taillights and some new designs for the alloy wheels. Changes applied to the cabin are more numerous and they include the tilt / telescopic steering wheel, illuminated front cup holders, Bluetooth, reclining rear seats, revised upholstery, upgraded infotainment system, larger touch screen display and much more.
Besides the upgrades mentioned above, the 2014 Hyundai Tucson has also received some new engines, including the 164 HP (122 kW) and 204 Nm of torque (151 lb-ft) 2.0 liter Nu GDI, and a 2.4 liter Theta II GDI, with its 182 HP (135 kW) and 240 Nm of torque (177 lb-ft). These come as replacements for the old MPI units and they get a 6-speed automatic transmission, which can send power to the optional AWD. Prices for the 2014 Hyundai Tucson have been set at 21,450 USD, for the base entry-level version, and the model will go on sale across the U.S. soon.
