The British based automaker Jaguar has recently announced that the 2014 XF will receive an updated 2.2 liter ECO2 diesel engine.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Jaguar XF will receive a 2.2 liter ECO2 diesel engine, which is producing a total output of 163 HP (120 kW), at 3,500 rpm, and it has a peak torque of 400 Nm (295 lb-ft), available between 2,000 and 5,500 rpm. The 2014 Jaguar XF is returning 57.7 mpg UK (4.9 L / 100 km / 48 mpg US), when equipped with this engine, and its emitting 129 g/km of CO2.
“The 2014 XF with this revised engine calibration opens up the unique Jaguar ownership experience to a whole new segment. Cost-conscious drivers, business users and fleet managers will be able to enjoy the refinement, luxury and seductive design of a Jaguar while benefiting from its low emissions and high fuel efficiency”, said the managing director of Jaguar Land Rover UK, Jeremy Hicks.
The 2014 Jaguar XF, equipped with the updated 2.2 ECO2 engine, can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 9.8 seconds and from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 10.5 seconds. Top speed stands at 130 mph (209 km/h).
