The 2014 Jaguar XJR has been officially unveiled, ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2013 New York Auto Show.
After it was previewed just earlier this month, the 2014 Jaguar XJR is ending up in our news once again, this time with the British based automaker finally pulling the wraps off its body. JLR says that the new XJR is coming with a new front bumper, with new side skirts, a trunk mounted spoiler, a four-tailpipe exhaust system and 20-inch forged alloy wheels, wrapped in Pirelli tires, amongst others. The cabin of the model is getting two-tine leather seats with contrast stitching, carbon fiber or piano black trim, 12-speaker Meridian audio system, R badging and more.
The 2014 Jaguar XJR is also getting an upgraded suspension system, a recalibrated Dynamic Stability Control system and an electronic rear differential. Power to the model is being provided by a 5.0 liter V8 supercharged engine, which is producing a total output of 550 HP (405 kW) and 680 Nm of torque (502 lb-ft). The unit is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which is allowing the model to sprint form 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.4 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 174 mph (280 km/h). Fuel efficiency stands at 24.4 mpg UK (11.6L/100 km / 18 mpg US) and CO2 emissions stop at 270 g/km.
