Jaguar has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, the 2014 XJR, ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2013 New York Auto Show, on the 27th of March.
The 2014 Jaguar XJR has been described as a “dynamic flagship” and the model is coming with a more aggressive look, highlighted by the black mesh grille inserts, the ventilated hood, the revised front bumper, the red brake calipers, sport tuned suspension and new alloy wheel design.
“The new XJR epitomises the three pillars of technology, performance and contemporary design which the Jaguar brand stands for in the twenty-first century, while delivering new levels of dynamic ability in a luxury saloon”, as the company’s Jaguar Global Brand Director, Adrian Hallmark, recently said.
According to the British based automaker, the 2014 Jaguar XJR is powered by a 5.0 liter supercharged V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 550 HP (405 kW) and it has a peak torque of approximately 680 HP (502 lb-ft). The carmaker didn’t announce any performance details on the brand new 2014 XJR so we will have to wait for the 2013 New York Auto Show to officially open its gates in order to find out more about the model.
