The 2014 Jaguar XKR-S has been officially unveiled ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2013 New York Auto Show.
JLR says that the brand new 2014 XKR-S has been developed by the ETO division, (Engineered to Order), and the model is coming with an aggressive exterior design, highlighted by the carbon fiber canards, carbon fiber wheel arch spats, carbon fiber front splitter, massive rear wing, carbon fiber rear diffuser and some other changes, including the new 20-inch light alloy wheels, wrapped in 255/35 and 305/30 Pirelli Corsa tires, front to rear. The cabin of the model is getting Alcantara / leather sport seats, unique sill plates, aluminum paddle shifters, red stitching and more.
The 2014 Jaguar XKR-S is powered by a 5.0 liter supercharged V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 550 HP (404 kW) and it has a peak torque of 680 Nm (501 lb-ft), mated to a six-speed automatic transmission which is sending power to the rear-wheel drive through the active electronic differential. The new Jaguar XKR-S is able to sprint form 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.9 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 186 mph (299 km/h). The XKR-S is getting a sport-tuned suspension system, new traction control, improved steering, improved ceramic brakes and more. The model will be produced in just 30 units and all of them will be available in Polaris White.
