Kia has released the first official images with the 2014 Cee’d GT and 2014 Pro Cee’d GT, ahead of the models’ debut scheduled for the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, on the 5th of March.
According to the car manufacturer, the very first hot hatch signed by Kia, in its two body styles, is coming with an aggressive body kit, with new bumpers, revised front grilles, LED daytime running lights, lamp clusters, dual exhaust system, 18-inch alloy wheels covering the red calipers, alloy pedals, Recaro seats, different surface materials in the cabin, a seven-inch TFT instrument cluster and much more, which should make the two models irresistible for their future customers.
Kia says that the 2014 Cee’d GT and Pro Cee’d GT are powered by the same 1.6 liter GDi turbo engine, which is producing a total output of 204 HP (150 kW) and it has a peak torque of 265 Nm (195 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a six-speed manual transmission which is allowing the two models to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.7 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 230 km/h (143 mph). Average fuel consumption stands at 7.4 L / 100 km (38.1 mpg UK / 31.7 mpg US) and CO2 emissions stop at 171 g/km.
