Kia has pulled the wraps off the third body style of the Forte during the 2013 New York Auto Show, in a premiere.
After the sedan and the hatchback versions of the Kia Forte have already been unveiled, time has come to meet yet one more body style of the popular model, the coupe, which was simply named the Koup. According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Kia Forte (Cerato) Koup will be sold in two trim levels, the EX and the SX, with the EX getting standard features such as the Bluetooth, rear camera display, UVO eServices, SiriousXM Satellite Radio, LED positioning headlights, fog lamps, leather wrapped steering wheel, 16-inch wheels and more.
The Forte Koup SX will add LED taillights, dual chrome exhaust system, black gloss grille inserts, larger front brakes, carbon fiber accents for the seats, alloy sport pedals, 18-inch rims and a more aggressive body kit. The options list includes the HD Radio, HID headlights, sunroof, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather seating surfaces, electric chromatic rearview mirror and more. The SX will get a 2.0L GDI engine under its hood, with 173 BHP and 154 lb-ft of torque, while the EX will come with a 1.6L GDI turbo with 201 BHP and 195 lb-ft of torque. Transmission options include the 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters.
