The Japanese based automaker Lexus has released the very first official images with the brand new 2014 IS, revealing the model in its sedan F Sport variant.
After teasing the 2014 Lexus IS a couple of times until now, the model is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker releasing the very first image which is showing the model with no camouflage on its body. According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Lexus IS pictured above is the sedan in the F Sport version and this means an added aerodynamic body kit, a lower suspension, a tuned chassis, a sportier trimmed interior and more.
The 2014 Lexus IS is expected to get a 2.5 liter V6 engine under its hood, producing 200 HP (149 kW), a 300 HP (224 kW) 3.5 liter V6 and a hybridized 2.5 liter four-cylinder, generating 240 HP (179 kW). The last one will be mated to a CVT which will help the model sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 225 km/h (140 mph). The fuel consumption stands at 3.8 L / 100 km (73 mpg UK / 60.7 mpg US) and the CO2 emissions stop at right under 100 g/km. The 2014 Lexus IS is based on the LF-CC Concept car. More details on it will be announced during the 2013 Detroit Motor Show.
