The new generation of the Maserati Quattroporte has recently entered production in Turin but the first official details and images will be released next week.
The brand new Maserati Quattroporte is wearing the 2014 model year in its name and it was already unveiled a few months ago. The luxurious four-door coupe is coming with a V6 and a V8 engine, source from Ferrari, which will also be used on future models made by Alfa Romeo. The entry-level version of the Maserati Quattroporte will get a 3.0 liter V6 engine under its hood, which is good for 410 HP. This will help the model accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately five seconds, before reaching a top speed of 285 km/h.
If this isn’t enough for you, the Italian based automaker is also offering a larger and more powerful 3.8 liter V8 twin turbo with direct injection unit, generating a total output of 530 HP and 670 Nm of torque. The torque figure can increase up to 720 Nm thanks to over boost and this can be seen in the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration, which is done in 4.7 seconds. Top speed stands at 307 km/h. More details on the new Quattroporte will be announced close to its launch.
