The new generation of the Mazda3 has recently leaked in a few images which have just hit the web, revealing the model from the most important angles.

Rumor has it that the upcoming Mazda3 will be launched sometimes next year which means that the hatchback should get the 2014 model in its name and, just as you can see from the images posted below, the vehicle is adopting the Kodo design language, just like the Takeri Concept which inspired the new generation of the Mazda6. The 2014 Mazda3 is expected to come in two body styles, a five-door hatchback and a four-door sedan.

The next generation of the Mazda3 might get the 2.0 liter four-cylinder gasoline engine under its hood in the United States version, which should produce a total output of 155 HP (116 kW), and the model will also benefit from the SkyActiv fuel saving technology. The new Mazda3 will be lighter compared to the outgoing model and the vehicle is expected to get a high performance version Mazdaspeed3. Additional details on the next generation of the Mazda3 are limited for the moment and will probably be announced sometimes next year.
