The Japanese based automaker Mazda has recently released a new teaser image with the 2014 Mazda3, which is expected to make its official debut over the following hours.
The 2014 Mazda3 is no surprise to anyone monitoring the automotive industry because the model has already leaked and it was even spotted on the streets with no camouflage on its body. Still, Mazda is playing hard to get and has the impression that by releasing a teaser image with the new Mazda3, everyone will forget about the leaked images which can be found here and here.
The photo posted above isn’t showing too much but just like in the leaked images, we can clearly see the new Kodo front end, which resembles the one used on the new Mazda6 generation. The new Mazda6 will also get muscular fenders, a sloping roofline, a distinctive greenhouse, a dual exhaust system and a protruding tailgate. The engine options remain unknown for the moment but rumors are saying that the 2.0 liter SKYACTIV-G, with its 155 HP (115 kW) and 150 lb-ft of torque (203 Nm), remains a choice, along with the six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The model is based on the same platform as the CX-5 crossover.
