The Japanese based automaker Mazda has recently announced that the all-new 2014 Mazda6 will be officially presented to the public in September, at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
According to the car manufacturer, the all-new Mazda6 will be revealed at the French automotive event in late September, this year, and the model will go on sale in early 2013. Even if the future Mazda6 has been announced to debut at the Paris Motor Show in autumn, we still don’t have too many details on it, except that it will be based on the Takeri Concept, which was officially presented to the public back in 2011, at the Tokyo Motor Show.
“With SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY and the SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter gasoline engine, Mazda has showcased that improving engine and vehicle efficiencies can still produce a dynamic-performing driving machine, as evidenced by the 2012 Mazda3 and 2013 CX-5. The all-new 2014 Mazda6 will be the latest Mazda to break out of its segment’s monotonous mold and be fiercely competitive versus the current sales leaders”, said the company’s president and CEO, Jim O’Sullivan.
As a small reminder, the Takeri Concept presented in Tokyo was powered by the company’s 2.2 liter SKYACTIV diesel engine which was mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The model was 4,850 mm long, 1,870 mm wide and 1,430 mm tall.
