A more powerful version of the C63 AMG has been officially unveiled by Mercedes-Benz and it has been named the Edition 507.
The newest creation signed by Mercedes-Benz is named the 2014 C63 AMG Edition 507 and the model is basically a more powerful version of the regular C63 AMG. According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507 is powered by a 6.3 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, which is now producing a total output of 507 HP (373 kW), 50 HP more (37 kW) than the previous model, and 610 Nm of torque (450 lb-ft), 10 Nm more.
These figures have been made possible by using the forged pistons from the SLS AMG, by modifying the inner workings of the AMG engine, by installing a lighter crankshaft and new connecting rods and by other minor tweaks. The 2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.2 seconds as a Sedan and 4.3 seconds as an Estate, and it can reach an electronically limited top speed of 280 km/h (174 mph).
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507 is getting an updated braking system with larger discs and six-piston calipers at the front and four-piston calipers at the rear, two openings on the aluminum hood, a spoiler lip on the boot lid in the Sedan or Coupe version, daytime running lights, 19-inch wheels wrapped in 235/35 and 255/30 tires front to rear and much more. The model will also arrive in the U.S. after making its public debut during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show next month.
