The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has recently revealed the all-new Citan commercial van, which is wearing the 2014 model year in its name.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz Citan commercial van is basically a rebadged Renault Kangoo, which came to life thanks to the alliance between Renault Nissan and Daimler. The all-new Mercedes-Benz Citan is coming with a V-shape hood, a new headlamp design, trapezoidal air intake in the front bumper, the company’s emblem on the new grille and some interesting features.
“Powerful yet with compact dimensions making it especially suitable for city use – for the first time, the Mercedes-Benz portfolio of vans features a vehicle specifically for the urban environment. With its impressive quality and driving dynamics, exemplary safety and economy and a high level of versatility and robustness, the new Mercedes-Benz Citan is a truly professional urban van”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
The engine lineup will include turbo diesel units, with direct injection and outputs from 75 HP to 110 HP, along with a supercharged petrol engine which will develop 115 HP. Transmissions will include five six-speed with a joystick gearshift positioned on the center console powering the front wheels.
The all-new Mercedes-Benz Citan will come with standard Adaptive Electronic Stability Program, which is incorporating the ABS, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Traction Control System, Acceleration Skid Control (ASR) and many more other features. The model will be officially presented to the public at the 2012 IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in September.
