2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class gets detailed

The very first details with the facelifted version of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class have hit the web, ahead of the model’s debut scheduled for next year.

After the first official images with the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class have hit the web just a day before writing this article, the facelifted version of the model is entering our news once again, this time with some interesting details regarding its powertrain options. The entry-level variant of the 2014 E-Class, the E200, will get a 2.0 liter gasoline engine under its hood, which will generate 181 HP (135 kW). This model will be followed by the E250, which will get the same unit, tuned to produce 208 HP (155 kW).

The E200 CDI will be the next one in the lineup and this variant will get a 2.1 liter four-cylinder unit under its hood, producing 134 HP (100 kW). The E220 CDI will put down 168 HP (125 kW) while the E250 CDI will get the same engine which will develop 201 HP (150 kW). The E250 will produce 248 HP (185 kW) out of its 3.0 liter V6 engine as for the most powerful version, the E63 AMG, we know that this will get a 5.5 liter twin-turbo V8 engine under its hood. The 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will make its public debut at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show, on the 14th of January, and more details on it will be announced then.
