Mercedes-Benz has released the very first performance details on the 2014 E63 AMG facelift.
According to the German based automaker, the new high performance all-wheel drive version of the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG is named the S-Model and this has just become one of the quickest production cars in the company’s history. The model in question is powered by a 5.5 liter twin turbo V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 577 HP (530 kW) and it has a peak torque of 800 Nm. The E63 AMG S-Model make this version the most powerful one in the current E63 AMG lineup.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S-Model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds while the regular version of the model will sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. Fuel consumption in the model will stand at 10.0 liters / 100 km and the CO2 emissions will fall to 230 g/km. Power will be sent to the wheels through the seven-speed automatic transmission which will offer four driving modes, Controlled Efficiency, Sport, Sport+ and Manual. Additional details on the model will be announced during the 2013 NAIAS in Detroit, on the 14th of January.
