The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is planning to offer the facelifted E63 AMG with an all-wheel drive version.
After the regular version of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class has been spied, leaked and finally unveiled, the model is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with a rumor which is saying that the high-performance version of the model, the facelifted E63 AMG, will also get an all-wheel drive option, in the shape of the 4Matic AWD, which has been tuned by Mercedes-Benz’s performance division. This will make the powerful vehicle more stable at high speeds and in corners.
Initial rumors were saying that the 5.5 liter V8 engine will be upgraded too but it seems that the unit will still produce a total output of 518 HP and 516 lb-ft of torque (700 Nm) in standard and 550 HP with the AMG Performance Package, but the unit will remain untouched. Unfortunately we don’t have any more details on the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG for the moment.
As a quick reminder, the regular Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift will get a 2.0 liter gasoline engine on the E200, with 181 HP, the E250 will get 208 HP, the E200 CDI will produce 134 HP out of the 2.1 liter unit, the E220 CDI will put down 168 HP and the E250 CDI will generate 201 HP. The E250 will produce 248 HP from the 3.0 liter V6 engine.
