The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has been recently spotted by our spy photographers while testing the brand new GLA, which should debut in Frankfurt in a couple of months.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz GLA has been already previewed by the concept wearing the same name, not too long ago, and the final production version of the model is expected to adopt a familiar design instead of the aggressive one, which will bring it closer to the new A-Class generation and also to the small and elegant four-door coupe, the new CLA. The design will make the crossover look more like a hatchback but it will still get bulging rear fenders, a tailgate mounted spoiler and a two-bar grille.
The brand new Mercedes-Benz GLA is rumored to get an engine lineup shared with the new A-Class, B-Class and CLA, which means that it might get the 134 HP (100 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque 1.8 liter diesel, the 2.1 liter diesel with 168 HP (125 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft), the 1.6 liter petrol with its 120 HP (90 kW) and 154 HP (115 kW) and the 2.0 liter petrol producing 207 HP (155 kW) and 350 Nm of torque (258 lb-ft). The GLA45 AMG is expected to get the same 2.0L turbo from the A45 AMG and CLA45 AMG.
