The new generation of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class will receive a Plug-in Hybrid version which will improve its fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
After we have seen the first leaked images with the brand new 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, time has come for the model to leak once more. According to the guys at Car Advice, the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class will get a Plug-in Hybrid version. The conclusion was taken after a media presentation in Sindelfingen, Germany, where the model’s user interface system was showcased and a TFT instrument panel has showed the “E Drive” mode with a battery usage gauge.
The graphic revealed the electric motor, located behind the regular internal combustion engine, and a battery pack mounted in the boot. The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is getting an Intel Atom processor for the COMAND Online System, two 12-3-inch displays, 14 air cushions in the backrest with massage system, 1500-watt Burmester audio system with 24 speakers and much more. The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class will be offered with three different wheelbase lengths, along with two more body styles, Coupe and Cabrio. Additional details on the model remain unknown for the moment and they will be announced on the 15th of March, during its official unveil.
