The new generation of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class has recently leaked in a brochure ahead of its public debut scheduled for the next few days.
The brand new Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which is wearing the 2014 model year in its name, is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a brochure, which has made its way onto the web. The leaked brochure isn’t revealing that much, but it’s confirming what we’ve known already, in terms of engine lineup.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, in the S350 BlueTEC version, will get a 3.0 liter V6 diesel engine under its hood, which is good for 258 HP (190 kW) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque. The model can accelerate form 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.8 seconds, before reaching a limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
The S500 will get a 4.7 liter V8 petrol unit under its hood, which will produce 455 HP (335 kW) and 700 Nm of torque (516 lb-ft), which will allow the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.8 seconds. The S400 Hybrid will pack a 3.5L V6 with 306 HP (225 kW) and 370 Nm of torque (273 lb-ft), enough for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint of 6.8s.
