New details on the brand new 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class have recently hit the web, ahead of its public debut scheduled for this month.
According to the German automotive media, the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class will receive the 3.0 liter diesel engine in the S350, which will produce 255 HP. Another engine which will make its way under the hood of the model will be the 429 HP 5.5 liter V8. A new V12 engine, along with a possible hybrid and plug-in hybrid version is also expected to be seen on the new generation of the S-Class. The most awaited variants, the S63 AMG and the S65 AMG will come with 563 HP and 621 HP, respectively.
The new generation of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class will hit the market by the end of this year, in four body styles, sedan, long wheelbase, coupe and cabrio. The official starting price of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, in Germany, will be set from 80,000 euros, in Germany, which equals 105,000 USD or 67,400 GBP at the current exchange rates. This is significantly more compared to the 72,000 euros price of the W221 in Germany. Additional details on the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class will be announced during its debut.
