Mercedes-Benz has introduced the new generation of the S-Class to Australia, only a few months after the luxurious model has made its public debut.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class will get the S350 BlueTEC diesel as the entry-level version but this will set you back for at least 215,000 AUD, so if you’re looking into the new S-Class generation, make sure you have enough money in your bank accounts. The LWB version of the S350 BlueTEC is priced at 222,500 AUD. Next in the lineup comes the S500, with its 285,000 AUD price or 310,000 AUD for the LWB version, along with the top of the line S63 AMG, which will set you back for 385,000 AUD.
The new 2014 Mercedes-Benz S350 BlueTEC is taking its power from a 3.0 liter turbocharged unit, producing 190 kW and 620 Nm of torque. The diesel engine is mated to a seven-speed 7G-Tronic automatic transmission, which is helping the model burn an average of 6.0L of fuel every 100 km. Across the range, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is coming with standard equipment such as the attention assist, cross wind assist, 360-degree camera, active cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot monitor, Distronic plus, self-parking package, dual panoramic roof, LED lighting package, two 12.3-inch screens and 18-inch alloy wheels, amongst others.
