The new generation of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been recently launched in Romania, where the cheapest version will set you back for 86,626 euros, VAT included.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is being offered as the S350 BlueTec for the cheapest entry-level version, which is getting a 3.0 liter V6 diesel engine under its hood, producing a total output of 258 HP and 620 Nm of torque. The unit is rated at 5.9 L / 100 km and it’s mated to a seven-speed transmission, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.8 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
Besides this version, the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class generation is also offered as an S500, equipped with a 4.7 liter V8, producing 455 HP and 700 Nm of torque. The S300 BlueTEC Hybrid is getting a 2.1 liter unit with 204 HP and the S400 Hybrid has a 3.5L V6 and an electric motor, producing 306 HP. The top of the line is the S63 AMG which is getting 536 HP from the 5.5 liter V8 twin turbocharged hand-built engine, and 590 lb-ft of torque. This will set you back for 157,988 euros. The new S-Class generation is 5,116 mm long, 1,899 mm wide and 1,483 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,035 mm.
