2014 MINI Cooper Convertible gets spied for the first time ever image

The first spy images with the brand new 2014 MINI Cooper Convertible have been recently provided by our spy photographers as the model in question has been caught being transported on the back of a truck.

The British based automaker MINI will be officially presenting to the public the all-new Cooper, at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, this month, but while everyone is busy talking about this model when it comes to MINI, the carmaker has started testing the new Cooper Convertible. The images posted below are revealing a test mule being transported on the back of a truck, and these are actually the first ever spy photos with the MINI Cooper Convertible’s new generation.

The brand new MINI Cooper Convertible will share the platform with the BMW 1-Series GT and with the upcoming BMW X1 and it will get a soft top, an evolutionary front fascia and some other tweaks. The MINI Cooper Convertible will get an engine lineup which will be carried over from the standard model, and this will include the 1.5L three-cylinder petrol with its 134 HP (100 kW) and 230 Nm (170 lb-ft) of torque, the 1.5L three-cylinder diesel, producing 114 HP (85 kW) and 269 Nm (199 lb-ft) and the 2.0L four-cylinder petrol generating 189 HP (141 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque.
