Maxi-Tuner has recently developed a new upgrade program for the 2014 MINI Cooper S, which is bringing some interesting items to the model in question.
Owners of the 2014 MINI Cooper S, looking for a power boost, will be glad to know that there is now another kit available, signed by Maxi-Tuner. According to the German tuning company, the significant power upgrade in the hot hatch has been obtained by the new exhaust made from stainless steel, by the chip tuning box and several other tweaks. Thanks to these upgrades, the 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine is now significantly more powerful.
The unit in question is now producing a total output of 220 HP (162 kW) and it has a peak torque of 340 Nm (251 lb-ft), compared to the previous 192 HP (141 kW) and 280 Nm (206 lb-ft) produced in standard guise. The tuning company hasn’t released any performance details on the model but the standard one needs 6.7 seconds to sprint from a standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) and it has a top speed of 235 km/h (146 mph). Other goodies include the lowering springs, signed by H&R, or the 18-inch Schmidt Shift alloy wheels, with 215/35 Goodyear tires. Prices for the power boost stands at 899 euros, for the lowering springs at 279 euros and for the wheels at 1,498 euros.
