The new generation of the MINI Cooper has recently leaked in a few images, ahead of its official unveil, which has been scheduled for later on today.
The 2014 MINI Cooper is being placed into the spotlights once again, after being spied numerous times, with the help of some images, which are revealing it for the first time, ahead of its official unveil, scheduled for later on today. The 2014 MINI Cooper seems to have a fresh design but it doesn’t move too far compared to its predecessor. The images posted below are showing the three-door Cooper S, finished in yellow and fitted with a glossy black roof.
At the time of its launch, the 2014 MINI Cooper will get a brand new 1.5 liter three-cylinder gasoline engine under its hood, producing a total output of 134 HP (100 kW) and 170 lb-ft of torque, along with a larger 2.0 liter four-cylinder unit, with its 189 HP (141 kW) and 221 lb-ft of torque. A third engine is believed to complete the lineup, coming as a 1.5 liter common-rail direct injection diesel, generating 114 HP (85 kW) and 269 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque. All units will come with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. More details on the 2014 MINI will be announced in a few hours.
