Subaru has introduced the 2015 Outback at the 2014 New York Auto Show, as the model in question will go on sale across the country this summer.
The 2015 Subaru Outback is a redesigned vehicle which is following the same footsteps as the Legacy, coming with sweptback headlights and a hexagonal grille, amongst others. The model also has some plastic body cladding, an aluminum hood, 221 mm (8.7 in) of ground clearance, a more rakish windscreen, a tailgate mounted spoiler, a roof rack and 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels, amongst others.
Subaru has also fitted the entry-level version of the car with a tilt / telescopic steering wheel, with an infotainment system with a 6.2-inch display, air conditioning, power windows and power locks. The Premium variant is adding the dual-zone climate control, the leather wrapped steering wheel, 10-way power driver’s seat, improved infotainment system, with 7-inch display and heated front seats.
The Limited version is adding the power passenger seat, the heated rear seats, the perforated leather seats, woodgrain trim and a Harman & Kardon audio system. As far as the engine lineup goes, this includes the 2.5 liter four-cylinder, with 175 HP (130 kW) and 235 Nm (174 lb-ft) of torque, the 256 HP (191 kW) and 334 Nm (247 lb-ft) of torque 3.6 liter six-cylinder. Both units are mated to a Linetraonic CVT, sending power to the symmetrical AWD system.
