Jaguar has officially pulled the wraps off the XKR Final Fifty Edition during the 2014 New York Auto Show.
The Jaguar XKR is about to be phased out later on this year, but until this happens, the carmaker has just created a special edition of the model. The sports car is named the XKR Final Fifty Edition, it will be produced in 50 units, and it has been officially presented to the public during the 2014 New York Auto Show.
“Jaguar announced at the New York International Auto Show that it will exclusively offer U.S. customers a limited-edition XK model to mark the end of this model’s production during the 2015 model year. The XK Final Fifty limited edition is based on the 510hp XKR model and will be limited to 25 coupes and 25 convertibles”, says the company in its official press release.
The new Jaguar XKR Final Fifty Edition has an Ultimate Black exterior design, an XKR-S GT hood, a rear wing, a diffuser, aerodynamic side skirts on the Performance and Dynamic Packages, and 20-inch forged alloy wheels. The cabin of the model has Performance seats, special door sill plates, a Jet suedecloth steering wheel, Bowers & Wilkins audio system and more. Power is provided by a 5.0L V8 supercharged unit, rated at 510 HP (380 kW) and 624 Nm (461 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 4.7 seconds and top speed stands at 280 km/h (174 mph).
