The 2015 MINI Countryman has been officially presented to the public, in a premiere, during the 2014th edition of the New York Auto Show.
Being officially unveiled just a day ago, the 2015 MINI Countryman is now making its public debut at the 2014 New York Auto Show. The model in question is basically a facelifted version of the crossover which has received some LED daytime running lights, a new front grille, LED fog lights, underbody guards for the all-wheel drive variants and some new alloy wheels. These changes should be enough to make new customers turn their head towards the updated crossover.
The updates don’t stop here because there are also three new exterior colors available for the model, the Midnight Grey metallic, the Starlight Blue metallic and the Jungle Green metallic. The cabin of the updated Countryman is now getting the latest MINI Connected infotainment system, the chromed switchgear and the sound deadening material. As far as the engine lineup goes, the units are carried over from the previous version, except on the Countryman S, where the 1.6L turbo engine has been upgraded and it’s now producing 190 HP (140 kW) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration made in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 218 km/h (135 mph). The 2015 MINI Countryman will become available for order this summer.
