The third generation of the Nissan Murano has launched at the 2014 New York Auto Show with the 2015 model year in it.
The 2015 Nissan Murano has been officially presented to the public in the Big Apple. The model in question has been already previewed by the Resonance Concept last year and it’s actually borrowing some of the bold styling from the one-off vehicle. The midsize crossover has received items such as the wider center console, the panoramic moonroof, the NissanConnectSM infotainment system with the 8-inch touch screen display, downloadable apps, navigation system and more.
The brand new Nissan Murano is also coming with an 11-speaker Bose stereo system, available as an option, along with the Bluetooth connectivity and safety monitoring systems. The vehicle is available in four trim levels, the S, the SV, the SL and the Platinum and each one is coming with front- or all-wheel drive. As far as the engine goes, this includes the 3.5 liter V6, which is producing a total output of 260 HP and it has a peak torque of 240 lb-ft. The CVT comes in as standard. Sales for the new Murano generation will begin in late 2014 and this will also be the first Murano assembled at the Nissan Canton plant, in Mississippi. A hybrid version is expected to follow soon.
