BMW has introduced, in a local premiere, the M4 Convertible at the 2014 New York Auto Show.
The BMW M4 Convertible has been already unveiled last month and this is based on the M4 Coupe, coming with an aggressive exterior design and with a power retractable hard top. BMW says that the roof can be lowered at speeds up to 18 km/h (11 mph) in approximately 20 seconds. The cabin of the model is getting an M gearshift, M branded sill plates, a leather wrapped sport steering wheel, sport seats, contrast stitching and others.
Power to the BMW M4 Convertible is being provided by the same engine used on the M4 Coupe and also on the new M3 Sedan generation, the 3.0 liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder, which is producing a total output of 425 HP (317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h (60 mph) sprint takes 4.3 seconds in the M Double Clutch Transmission equipped version and 4.5 seconds with the 6-speed manual. Top speed has been electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). Prices for the model will start at 73,425 USD, once it will go on sale this summer.
