The No.2 US automaker has brought on the floor of the 2014 New York auto show two of its most important models – the redesigned Focus compact and the all-new F-150 pick-up truck.
The new 2015 Ford Focus sedan made its official public debut during the New York motor show, acting as Ford’s global player in the all-out race to secure the first position among the world’s best selling nameplates. The model looks in front just like the Geneva motor show last month introduced Focus hatchback and wagon. Besides the exterior styling revision, Ford has updated the cabin and made extensive suspension and chassis upgrades that will deliver “a more connected feel to the road” and an “improved interior quietness.” Also available is an SE Sport Package with a more firm suspension setup, a subtle body kit and 17 inch alloys.
The all-new, all-important 2015 F-150 was introduced back in January at the North American International Auto Show and we also got to see it in all its aluminum clad armor on the floor of the New York auto show. Ford hopes its new and thoroughly improved, 400 pounds lighter F-150 will keep its firm grip on the No.1 sales position in the pick-up truck segment.
