The new Mazda 25th Anniversary Edition has been officially unveiled during the 2014 New York Auto Show, in a premiere.
Mazda is currently celebrating its 25 years of the MX-5, but rather than officially pulling the wraps off the new generation of the roadster, the Japanese based automaker has decided to create a special edition of the outgoing version. The model in question has been officially presented to the public during the 2014 New York Auto Show, in a world premiere, and it managed to attract quite a lot of curious eyes, despite being based on the current generation.
The brand new Mazda 25th Anniversary Special Edition has a single color, the Soul Red Metallic, and it’s coming with a retractable hardtop, a contrasting black roof, the A-pillars and wing mirrors and it’s basically based on the Roadster Coupe. The 25th Anniversary logo is found on the leather seats and some other tweaks made to this model include the Billstein dampers, or the Dark Gunmetal finish for the 17-inch alloy wheels. Mazda hasn’t released any pricing details on the limited 25th Anniversary Edition of the MX-5 and these are expected to be announced over the following weeks.
