The Japanese based automaker Nissan has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, the 2014 GT-R Track Edition, during the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, in a premiere.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition is the third most exclusive model in the 2014 GT-R lineup and the sports car in question is adding some interesting features, which will be highly appreciated during track days by future owners of the model.
“The concept behind the GT-R Track Edition is to enable drivers who enjoy even more demanding high-performance driving than the GT-R Premium and Black Edition models’ extreme performance, the chance to come closer to a competition spec vehicle – no back seat, stiffer suspension, higher grip seats, additional brake cooling – the works”, said the Nissan VP of product planning and strategy in America, Pierre Loing.
The 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition is coming with an upgraded suspension signed by Bilstein, with no rear seats in order to save some weight, with special cooling apparatuses for the braking system and more. Power to the model is being provided by the 3.8 liter twin turbo V6 engine, which is now producing a total output of 545 HP. More details on the 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition will be announced soon.
