2014 Nissan Versa hatchback to be unveiled in Detroit

Nissan is planning to unveil the 2014 Versa hatchback during the 2013 Detroit Motor Show next week.

The final production version of the 2014 Nissan Versa hatchback, which has been previewed by the Invitation Concept, will be officially presented to the public on the 14th of January, 2013, during the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The model is expected to get an exterior design inspired by the one used on the Invitation Concept and its engine lineup will probably include units currently found on the 2013 Versa sedan.

Additional details on the 2014 Nissan Versa hatchback are limited for the moment but as a quick reminder the Invitation Concept, on which the Versa hatchback is based, has been unveiled back in 2012, during the Geneva Motor Show. The Nissan Invitation Concept came with a 360-degree around view camera / monitor system which can help the driver in low speed maneuvers. Rumors are saying that the production version of the Nissan Invitation Concept, which might be the Versa hatchback, will be assembled in Sunderland, UK. The model might go on sale this year, along with the Micra and the Juke.
