Porsche has recently announced the official starting price of the upcoming 2014 918 Spyder, which has been set at 845,000 USD.
After we have seen the Porsche 918 Spyder in pre-production form back in 2012, time has come to write about the final production version of the supercar, which will hit the market later on this year. According to the German based automaker, the 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder will be priced from 845,000 USD in the United States, once the model will hit the market. This is translated into 634,000 euros or 407,500 GBP, at the current exchange rates.
The price of the 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder isn’t including the destination charge or the handling fees. If you still want to order the new German supercar you should also know that it will be available with a Weissach Package, which will bring its starting price to 929,000 USD, again, without taxes and destination. The package is actually removing things rather than adding them and you will say goodbye to the air conditioning, to the audio system, the door storage, the armrest and more, in order to save 34 kg. The Porsche 918 Spyder will get a 4.6 liter V8 engine under its hood, with 562 HP, mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission, helped by two electric motors. The total output stands at 795 HP.
