The 2014 Porsche Panamera and Panamera Hybrid have recently leaked in what appear to be official images, ahead of their public debut scheduled for the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show.
The upgraded Porsche Panamera is adopting a new front fascia with new headlights, it has a revised rear end, with redesigned taillights and a modified bumper. Besides the upgraded looks, the 2014 Porsche Panamera is also bringing a hybrid version, named the S E-Hybrid, which is powered by a 3.0 liter V6 engine, helped by an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack. The total output produced stands at 410 BHP (306 kW), enough for a 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint of 5.5 seconds and a 269 km/h (167 mph) top speed.
By using the hybrid technology, the 2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid is expected to burn just 3.1 liters of fuel every 100 km (91 mpg UK / 75.7 mpg US) and to emit less than 100 g/km of CO2. The electric motor will allow the model to be driven in all-electric mode for 18-35 km (11-22 miles) at speeds up to 133 km/h (83 mph). The 2014 Porsche Panamera S will also get a new 3.0 liter twin-turbo V6 engine under its hood, which will develop 413 BHP (308 kW) and 521 Nm of torque (385 lb-ft), 19 BHP (14 kW) and 19 Nm of torque (14 lb-ft) more than before. Fuel economy has also been boosted. More details on the two models will be announced soon.
