The North American based automotive giant, Chrysler Group LLC, has recently unveiled the 2014 Ram 1500.
The model in question is an upgraded version of the facelift which was recently introduced and it’s coming with updates such as the new front park assist, which can detect objects that are 120 cm (47.2 inches) away, the variable displacement air compressor, the pulse-width modulation blower or the revised color palette, which also includes new shades like the Granite Crystal or the Blue Streak.
“The 2013 Ram 1500 won Motor Trend’s Truck of the Year, The North American Truck of the Year and Truck of Texas – a rare trifecta in the pickup segment. Building on the award-winning truck, the 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel will further stretch its best-in-class fuel economy title lead and continue to raise the innovation bar in one of the automotive industry’s most customer-loyal segments”, as the carmaker says in its official press release.
The 2014 Ram 1500 is powered by a 3.0 liter V6 EcoDiesel engine, which is producing a total output of 240 HP (179 kW) and 420 lb-ft of torque (568 Nm). The unit is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Prices for the model have been set at 24,200 USD, without the 1,095 USD destination charge. The EcoDiesel version costs 2,850 USD more than the similarly equipped 5.7L HEMI V8.
