The 2014 Range Rover Sport has been finally unveiled ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2013 New York Auto Show.
The new generation of the Range Rover Sport, which is wearing the 2014 model year in its name, is finally here and the first official images and details of the popular SUV have been released by the British based automaker. The 2014 Range Rover Sport has gained a lot in features and build quality, especially in the cabin, where JLR has also incorporated a third row of seats, amongst others, making this one more vehicle in which to take your kids to school.
The 2014 Range Rover Sport is now coming with a 3.0 liter supercharged V6 engine for the base entry-level model, which is replacing the 5.0 liter naturally aspirated Jaguar-sourced V8 unit, but the top of the line Range Rover Supercharged will receive a 5.0 liter V8, which is producing a total output of 510 HP. JLR says that both units are equipped with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, with an optional low-range and two-speed transfer case, along with a standard single-speed Torsen differential, which should optimize its off-road performance.
The cheapest version of the 2014 Range Rover Sport, the SE, will become available across the United States from 63,495 USD, with its 340 HP 3.0L V6 supercharged engine. The Range Rover Sport HSE, with the same unit, will cost 68,495 USD, the Range Rover Sport Supercharged, with the 5.0L V8 supercharged 510 HP unit will be priced at 79,995 USD and the top of the line Range Rover Sport Autobiography will be yours from 93,295 USD.
