2014 Range Rover Sport rendered

The future generation of the Range Rover Sport has been recently rendered and the image posted above might offer us a first glimpse into what the model might look like when it will be launched.

After the brand new Range Rover has been officially presented to the public a few months ago, Land Rover is currently working on the cheaper and sportier alternative of the model, the Range Rover Sport. The new generation of the Range Rover Sport will wear the 2014 model year in its name, meaning that it should hit the market sometimes this year. The company has been working on the model for quite some time and the new Range Rover Sport has already been spied while testing.

The new generation of the Range Rover Sport is expected to weigh 300 kg less than the outgoing version and the base model will get a turbocharged V6 diesel engine under its hood, which should produce a total output of 255 BHP and 442 lb-ft of torque. A larger V8 supercharged is also expected to make its way onto the model, with just over 500 BHP. A hybrid version might also become available.
