The French based automaker Renault has recently released some new details with the 2014 Clio Cup, which will receive 220 HP from the same 1.6 liter four-cylinder turbo engine.
According to the car manufacturer, the new 2014 Renault Clio Cup will be based on the Clio R.S. 200 EDC and it will get a new aerodynamic body kit, with a roof-mounted scoop, an aggressive front fascia, a tailgate mounted spoiler, a rear diffuser, dual exhaust system and a fresh set of 17-inch Speedline Corse wheels, which can be wrapped in either Michelin or Dunlop tires.
The cabin of the model hasn’t been left unchanged either and this has now received a Sabelt racing seat with a six-point harness, a multi-function steering wheel, a welded roll cage and some other tweaks. The 2014 Renault Clio Cup is also fitted with ZF Race Engineering adjustable shock absorbers, a Brembo high performance braking system and a Cosworth SQ7DI ECU. Power to the hot hatch will be provided by the same 1.6 liter four-cylinder engine, which will be good for 220 HP (161 kW) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque, mated to a six-speed sequential transmission. Prices for the FIA approved vehicle will start at 37,800 euros, without VAT.
