Skoda has recently announced its plans to introduce the new generation of the Octavia RS to the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
After the third generation of the Skoda Octavia RS has leaked several times and the model has been even teased just a few days ago by the Czech based automaker, the powerful vehicle is ending up in our news once again, this time with the company announcing its plans to introduce it to the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The announcement has been made by the automaker’s CEO, Winfried Vahland, who said that the event was the ideal stage for the world premiere of the car.
The Skoda Octavia RS, in its new generation, is expected to be powered by the same engine used in the brand new Golf GTI, the 2.0 liter TFSI engine. The unit is expected to develop approximately 220 HP (164 kW) and 350 Nm of torque (258 lb-ft), but a more powerful version of the model, with 250 HP (186 kW) might be offered too. The 2014 Skoda Octavia RS will be officially presented to the public on the 11th of July, in England, during the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
