The very first images of the brand new Skoda Octavia generation have recently hit the web revealing the model from just about every angle in both combi and sedan versions.
After the 2014 Skoda Octavia has been officially unveiled just a few days before writing this article, the very first images with the high performance version of the model, the 2014 Skoda Octavia RS, have hit the web for the first time. The pictures posted below reveal the sportier front fascia of the new Octavia RS, with its LED fog lights and honey comb grille, along with the gloss black mirrors, revised side skirts, five-spoke alloy wheels covering the brake calipers, trunk spoiler, new rear bumper, dual exhaust system and more.
Just like the regular version, the 2014 Skoda Octavia RS will ride on the same MQB platform, signed by the Volkswagen Group, the same one which gave birth to the new VW Golf 7, the 2013 Audi A3 or the 2013 Seat Leon. The same platform will also be used for the new Leon Cupra and Golf 7, and it already “produced” the S3. The regular version of the Octavia will share the engine lineup with the new Golf 7 and this means that the GTI’s 2.0 liter turbocharged unit will be found under the hood of the Octavia RS, generating more than 200 HP.
