The new generation of the Skoda Octavia has been recently spied with no camouflage on its body in Chile.
After it was teased for the first time just a day ago, the new generation of the Skoda Octavia is ending up in our news once again, this time thanks to the guys at autoforum.cz, who have managed to catch the model completely naked in Chile. According to our source, the 2014 Skoda Octavia has been photographed in Santiago de Chile, while it was being tested on public roads.
The new generation of the Skoda Octavia, which is wearing the 2014 model year in its name, meaning that it will hit the market in 2013, will be slotted above the Rapid and below the Superb, and rumors are saying that it will ride on Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform. The 2014 Skoda Octavia will borrow the same engine lineup from the VW Golf 7, meaning that the hot vRS version will probably get the 2.0 liter turbocharged unit under its hood. The new generation of the Skoda Octavia is expected to make its way onto the market sometimes next year, with a debut made during an international auto show, probably in Geneva.
