The new generation of the Skoda Octavia will be launched in India later on this year where the model will replace the so-called Laura.
According to the Czech based automaker, the 2014 Skoda Octavia will replace the Skoda Laura in India later on this year. Skoda says that the new Octavia generation is 90 mm longer and 45 mm wider than the Laura and its wheelbase stands at 2,686 mm. the result is a much more spacious cabin for both the front and the rear occupants, which will be highly appreciated by its future Indian customers.
The new generation of the 2014 Skoda Octavia is riding on the same MQB modular platform as other models in the Volkswagen Group, like the 2013 Audi A3, 2013 Seat Leon, VW Golf 7 and more. The model is coming with an updated exterior design and new materials for the cabin. As for the engine lineup, the Indian variant of the 2014 Skoda Octavia is expected to get different unit choices compared to the version offered across the Old Continent.
