Skoda has launched the new Octavia generation in Australia where the cheapest version can now be yours from 22, 990 AUD, driveaway.
The new generation of the Skoda Octavia has been finally introduced to Australia. The cheapest model can be yours from 22,990 AUD and it’s coming with a 1.4 liter TSI unit, producing a total output of 103 kW and 250 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, which is allowing the model to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds. The DSG option adds 0.1s to the acceleration time but improves the fuel consumption, which has dropped from 5.7L, with the manual transmission, to 5.2L / 100 km.
The mid-range 2014 Skoda Octavia is being offered with a 1.8 liter TSI unit. The engine is producing a total output of 132 kW and 250 Nm of torque, allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds. Power is being sent to the FWD through a 7-speed DSG only and the average fuel consumption stands at 5.9L / 100km. There is also a 2.0L TDI diesel engine, with its 110 kW and 320 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed DSG. The average fuel consumption in this vehicle stands at 4.9L / 100 km. The TDI powered Octavia has the brake energy regeneration technology and a stop start system. The top of the line version of the Octavia costs 40,140 AUD, driveaway.
