The Czech based automaker Skoda has recently announced a series of small upgrades for the Rapid in Europe, for the 2014 model year.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Skoda Rapid will become available, to its future customers across the Old Continent, with features like xenon headlights, as an optional extra, a new three spoke steering wheel in the cabin, new decorative trim materials, modified music system controls and four decorative trim options, the Graphite Metallic, the Silver Brushed, the Piano Black and the Piano White. The car’s metal parts will remain the same because Skoda has no plans of changing the panels.
We have saved the best for last because the company is also offering, besides the features mentioned above, a new entry-level version of the 1.6 liter TDI diesel engine, which basically means that owning a diesel will become cheaper. The unit will produce a total output of 90 HP and it will be mated to a five-speed manual transmission or to a seven-speed dual clutch automatic. Additional details on the 2014 Skoda Rapid are limited for the moment and will be announced on the 5th of August, once the model will be officially unveiled.
